Nikola Tesla The Genius Who Walked Alone

Written by Alfred H Sinks, June, 1955

Whilst scrolling through a 249 page FBI document called "Tesla Pages", I found a brief excerpt from an old 1955 book, detailing the life and times of Nikola Tesla. That excerpt is the origin of this video.

Around the one minute mark, Alfred claims that the governments swift action to break open Teslas private safe after his death and confiscate the belongings was "justified" as you could never be sure about Tesla, one of the strangest men who ever lived.
Although I do not personally agree with this statement, I included it in the video to stay true to the document.

The rest of the 200+pages mostly consisted of letters written to the FBI, asking for Teslas classified patents and the contents of his safe to be released under the Freedom of Information Act, to which the FBI would respond in every letter;
"In response to your inquiry, the effects of Dr Nikola Tesla were impounded , after his death, by the Office of Alien Property of the Department of Justice and not by the FBI. Since we did not participate in the handling of Dr Tesla's effects, I am unable to furnish the information you desire. Sincerely yours, John Edgar Hoover."

Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, and physicist who is best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. Tesla was born in 1856 in what is now Croatia and received a degree in engineering from the Polytechnic Institute in Karlstadt, Austria. He later moved to the United States, where he worked for the inventor and entrepreneur Thomas Edison before striking out on his own as an inventor and researcher.

Throughout his career, Tesla was known for his innovative and sometimes controversial ideas, and he made significant contributions to the fields of electromagnetism and wireless communication. Some of his most famous inventions include the Tesla coil, an electrical transformer used in radio and television technology, and the Wardenclyffe Tower, a wireless communication tower that was intended to transmit messages and power wirelessly across long distances.

Tesla was also known for his fascination with the potential of electricity and energy, and he spent much of his career working on developing technologies that would harness and transmit energy wirelessly. Despite his many achievements and contributions, Tesla struggled financially and was often overshadowed by other inventors and scientists of his time. He died in New York City in 1943 at the age of 86.
